'Hunger' wins Best Production at UNIMA Chengdu

This is the story of 'Hunger', set in a city that you can't leave before it's put a mark on you. A proud man struggles to break through as a writer. He is in a constant battle between his environment, the salivating monster inside him and the grinding, satanic mills of progress. Hunger is a dark, hilarious, grotesque and provocative performance of human survival and man's need to express himself.

Hunger stars Norwegian puppeteers Per Arne Loset and Gisle Hass of Tinker Ting Theatre and is directed by Dik Downey and Vicky Andrews of Picked Image in the UK. I was delighted to spend some time with Per and Gisle in Chengdu recently and I filmed the above interview and production at the recent 21st UNIMA World Puppetry Congress and Festival in Chengdu, China.
