The Second National Puppetry and Animatronics Summit is planned for Hobart, Tasmania in June 2006. This is one of the major Australian events leading up to the 2008 UNIMA World Puppetry Congress and Festival in Western Australia. The summit, like the first one which was held in Melbourne in October 2002, will bring together practictioners of the art to discuss its future.
