Michaela Bartonova of Tineola Theatre in Prague is in Australia to conduct a Puppet Carving workshop in Sturt Summer School (an hour outside Sydney) from 2 to 6 January 2008.

French Puppetry School launches new three year intake

Marking the 20th anniversary of the Ecole Nationale des Arts de la Marion- nette (ESNAM) which is based in Charleville Mezieres, France announces the 8th three-year course auditions from 24 March to 4 April 2008. This is if you are interested in being a student in this world renowned puppetry school in its 2008 - 2011 course. Take note that the deadline for applications is Friday 15 February 2008.

The institute where I spent close to six years studying and did the course with Jim Henson in 1987, was the predecessor of this incredible school. You can find out all the information to audition on their website here!

New Jim Henson Workshop films

It's the twentieth anniversary of Jim Henson's Puppetry for Film and Television course, held at the Institute International de la Marionnette in Charleville Mezieres, France in May 1987. I was fortunate enough to be one of almost twenty international puppeteers who were chosen to participate in this rare workshop. I am pleased to share the short student films made with the late-Muppet master 20 years later.
