Czech Puppet Carving and Performance Workshops in Australia

Czech Puppet Designer, Builder and Performer, Michaela Bartonova of Tineola Theatre in Prague will be visiting Australia and conducting another 5 day carving and performance workshop at the Sturt Summer School in Mittagong, outside Sydney, from 2 to 6 January 2008. Michaela will be joined by Czech artist, Martin Kadlec, who will provide technical support in wood carving techniques for puppets.

Australia has a new Prime Minister Puppet

Today saw was my first vote as an Australian citizen. Australian ex- Chief, John Howard conceded defeat this evening giving over his reign to Labor Party Chief, Kevin Rudd, who will now become Australian's next Prime Minister. So let's see if long-lost Democracy will finally be restored to this great nation. We wait in anticipation! You can watch the Labor victory announcement here!

World of Paper Workshop in Sydney

Our final one-day 'World of Paper' Workshop will be held in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs on Sunday 2 December. This is a final opportunity this year for Australian participants to experience a unique hands-on experience with Brain Gym Instructor, Sharon Gelber and Master Puppeteer, Gary Friedman, featuring a combination of storytelling, puppetry, object theatre and healing techniques all combined into an intense day of creativity! This workshop has been conducted throughout South Africa, Europe and Canada this year.
